Hi, my name is Lin Danes and I have had the privilege of working for the largest employers in both Portage County and Summit County – Kent State University and Summa Health System, respectively. In each instance, my drive to advance the organization’s business goals has led to success for my organization, as well as personal success through the feeling of  a job well done and several promotions.

Currently, I lead Kent State’s web team in University Communications and Marketing, which is comprised of three interactive designers and developers, a digital technologist, a trainer and two student employees. We were fortunate to also advocate for and hire a web accessibility coordinator, who eventually transitioned to our close business partners in the Division of Information Services. During large-scale projects, I have managed teams of up to 29 members.

While I am adept at navigating processes and procedures at large institutions, I have also enjoyed working for much smaller companies in Mahoning County, Ohio, and Western Pennsylvania.
